Eviction Search
What is a eviction search? When a tenant has been filed on for a eviction the landlord will go to the Justice of the peace court and file a notice to quit. This means they must pay the rent on 3 days or move out. This process is typically called being filed on for an eviction. The tenants can either pay the rent due or move out. Sometimes they will pay and sometimes not. If they choose not to pay then this eviction process can be a long drawn out and very costly process.
It is much cheaper to properly screen your applicants before they move in. One of the most popular searches run by landlords is the eviction search. This will tell you if they have been filed on for an eviction in the past.
